Freelance Seamstress, Sewing Machinist

I am looking for an experienced seamstress for a Minycled a sustainable fashion e-commerce brand based in Torquay Devon for flexible position demanding on orders.

As a sustainable fashion business am looking for an experienced Seamstress to mend, alter, and construct garments and other fabric-made articles according to designed provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Replacing buttons, zippers, pockets, and linings, adding padding and shaping materials to garments, and modifying garment styles based on design specifications.
• The successful candidate must have experience, be competent at achieving a high standard of finish and the ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision. This can be conducted off site or your home or on-site.

Experience:

Essential Skills

• At least 2-3 years or more sewing industry experience preferably in fashion /dress making (this should be demonstrable during interview).
• Adapting and developing existing designs
• Sometimes you may be required to create custom clothing

• Ability to create, read, and follow patterns.
• Should display an impeccable awareness of all sewing procedures.

• Work with toile

• Be able to work with bespoke pieces, as required

• Professional dress making
• Able to work remotely: Yes but will to collect the project to work on.

Skills and Interests

• Be able to communicate clearly and provide a personal customer service
• Have the ability to work to deadlines

• Ability to manage your time effectively

• You must show a keen interest for alteration and fashion
• Have the relevant sewing/pattern cutting skills
• Friendly and approachable person
• Be able to work quickly but efficiently
