How to Measure Your Body
Ready-to-wear measurements
Ready-to-wear pieces use standard sizing based on a few key measurements:
Bust: Around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across the back.
Waist: Around your natural waistline (the softest, narrowest part).
Hips: Around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, feet together.
Inseam: From the top of the inner thigh (crotch) down to the ankle bone.
Shoulders: Straight across the back from shoulder point to shoulder point.

Made-to-order measurements
For made-to-order pieces I use a more detailed set of measurements so your garment fits your body, not just a size chart. Use the guide below as a checklist when sending your measurements.

Neck
Around the base of the neck where a necklace or collar would sit.
Bust & underbust
Fullest part of the bust, and then directly under the bust for support and shaping.
Waist
Around your natural waistline – usually just above the belly button.
Hips
Around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, with feet together.
Shoulder to shoulder
Straight across the back from one shoulder bone to the other.
Back length
From the nape of the neck down the spine to your natural waist.
Front waist length
From shoulder, over the fullest part of the bust, down to the waist.
Arm & bicep
Arm: from shoulder point to wrist with a soft bend. Bicep: around the fullest part of the upper arm.
Thigh & calf
Around the fullest part of the thigh and around the fullest part of the calf.
Crotch depth / rise
Sitting on a flat chair, from the waist at the side down to the chair seat.

Total height
Your full height from top of head to floor, barefoot or in thin socks.
