Sustainable Fashion Week Torquay.

In October 2025, Minycled hosted the South West's Sustainable Fashion Week Hub at the Hampton by Hilton, Torquay. Two days of panels, workshops, networking, and the Greener Fashion Catwalk featuring students, designers, and makers from across the region.

Thu 2 & Fri 3 October 2025 Hampton by Hilton, Torquay Hosted by Minycled

Day One brought together panel discussions, hands-on workshops, sustainability stalls, and community engagement around the theme of circular fashion. Day Two opened with the CreativeUK Devon networking session and closed with the Greener Fashion Catwalk, showcasing collections built from rescued textiles, deadstock, and upcycled garments by emerging students and established South West designers.

A standout night in one of the South West's most atmospheric heritage venues. Minycled showed signature looks — metallic bronze separates, paisley brocade gowns, and statement gold neckpieces — against the stripped-back stonework and iconic black-and-yellow columns of Royal William Yard. A reminder that sustainable fashion can hold its own on any runway.

A milestone moment of regional recognition. Minycled's work was exhibited at The Box, Plymouth's flagship museum and cultural venue, with Karen styling pieces live and showcasing finished signature looks — the animal-print silk gown, the multicoloured wrap dress, and the painted brocade co-ords. A defining recognition of Minycled's contribution to the South West's sustainable fashion conversation.

Minycled received Highly Commended status for Eco-Friendly Business of the Year at the 2024 DWIB Awards, presented at the ceremony by previous winner Natalie Hyson. A regional recognition of sustainable business practice and the work happening behind the brand.

Minycled took its made-to-order, slow-fashion ethos on the road with a curated pop-up in Exeter, bringing signature upcycled wrap dresses and statement prints in front of a new audience and introducing the brand's circular approach to a wider South West customer base.

The transition from online lockdown start-up to physical boutique. The Lucius Street store opened to coverage in Torbay Weekly, marking Minycled's permanent presence on the Torbay high street and the beginning of the studio era.
